Attention: City of Toronto Garbage Fees Come into Effect July 1st, 2008.

Starting July 1st, building owners will be required to pay a fee for garbage collection based on how much garbage is set out by the building residents. As an Owner, Property Manager or Superintendent, you play an important role in developing and carrying out a waste management plan for your building. To assist you, the City of Toronto is holding information sessions designed to:

• Explain how the fees for garbage will be applied,
• Provide tips on how to increase diversion and improve recycling, and
• Clarify your role in your building’s waste management plan.

Sessions are geared to Owners, Property Managers and Superintendents, however residents are also welcomed.
