"The Condominium President: The
Good, the Bad and (the Ugly?)"
Date: Saturday, October 13, 2001
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Location: Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville Hotel
95 Bloor Street East, Toronto (at Yonge)
To be a condo corporation president is not necessarily
that difficult. To be an effective, knowledgeable and respected president,
however, requires the essential combination of people skills, community
values and enlightened leadership.
Having experience in such matters as legal, financial,
engineering, labour and education can be enormously valuable but, on the
other hand, nothing replaces trust, responsibility, care and diligence.
Presidents, after all, are ultimately responsible for a huge range of issues
that affect the lives, homes and investments of their neighbours.
To review the role and enhance the performance of a 'good'
president, this seminar and its qualified presenters will assist current
or soon-to-be-presidents by exploring such issues as:
- candidacy criteria
- ideal leadership qualities
- personality traits
- role models
- elections and removal
- duties and responsibilities
- management techniques
- liabilities and indemnification
- perks and remuneration
- and much more!
