Tom Park P. Eng, ACCI
Tom is with the firm, Golder Associates Ltd., has 14 years
experience with condominiums and heads the firm's building science engineering
group. Tom's expertise is with whole-building condition assessments and
has extensive knowledge about building construction, building component
technical issues, and building failure mechanisms. Tom provides senior
level review for Performance Audits and Reserve Fund Studies.
Tom is a member of the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI)
and has earned his associate designation (ACCI). Golder is an associate
member of the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO).
Tom is a member of the Associates Executive and the Communications
Committees of ACMO. He is also a Director of CCI - Toronto. Tom has provided
presentations at conferences, seminars, luncheons and courses with both
CCI and ACMO and has published a number of articles in condominium magazines
on engineering, reserve fund studies, restoration and related matters.
Born and raised in Toronto, Tom graduated from the University
of Toronto's Civil Engineering Program in 1989. He became a licensed Professional
Engineer in 1991. He plays the drums and is learning piano. Tom loves
spending time with his family including his wife Michelle, boy-girl twin
6 year olds and his 11 year old son. Tom has deep fascination with the universe,
black holes, and quantum mechanics and relativity theories and believes
he will one day he will make a great discovery in physics. Tom also enjoys
playing racquetball, making homemade beer and wine in the basement.
